…hard to tell you how it feels to have the brood around the table/in the house/slipping in and out for three days. Old grandparents like myself perhaps understand it best, wondering how the years got by us and turned these little people into real adults with ideas and opinions that aren’t the first derivative of Sesame Street.
We’ve had a great Columbus Day weekend (yeah, probably not terribly pc, but it worked for our kids – and us) in the piney woods of Maine in the vicinity of Bath. The fall color was just a few days slow for the whole gang, but those of us who are hanging on are getting the benefit of full fall foliage.
It’s been a very wonderful 30th anniversary reunion for Laurie and me, made especially memorable by our kids and their significant others…as you can see from the photo.
